The Disciples of Selena exist in a precarious balance between enmity and isolation. Their doctrine and ambitions place them at odds with the dominant forces of Pyrion, making them both reviled enemies and dangerous competitors in the grand struggle for power.
Order of the Divine Flame: The Eternal War of Purity and Corruption
To the Torchbearers of the Order, the Disciples of Selena represent the gravest of heresies, a once-radiant guardian turned into an icon of darkness. The Order views them as a disease, a perversion of all that is sacred. Their encounters are rarely battles of conquest, but rather purges, merciless hunts designed to erase every trace of Selena's influence from the world.
To the Disciples, however, the Divine Flame is a misguided force clinging to false light, unable to see the truth of Selena's transformation. They revel in their battles against the Order, seeing them as divine tests of faith. Each slain Torchbearer is another step toward proving that their goddess's will is absolute.
Neither side offers mercy. Neither side seeks peace. Their conflict is one of annihilation.
Infernal Hordes: Rivals for the Abyss
Despite drawing upon the abyss's power, the Disciples of Selena refuse to bend the knee to the Infernal Hordes. They do not serve demons, nor do they consider them allies—they see them as parasites, creatures that twist the abyss for their own gain rather than wielding it as Selena intended.
The Infernal Hordes, in turn, regard the Disciples as interlopers, mortals who seek to claim dominion over forces they barely understand. To the dread lords and demon princes, the Disciples are nothing more than arrogant trespassers, scavengers attempting to steal power from those who were forged in it.
This has led to a bitter rivalry, one fought in the depths of the abyss itself. Both factions vie for dominance over the same sources of dark power, competing for artifacts, strongholds, and influence. Where they meet, war erupts, demonic legions clashing with zealots wielding abyssal magic, each side convinced that only they are worthy of ruling the darkness.

The Disciples of Selena are no longer a fragmented cult lurking in the shadows. They have become something far more dangerous, a force that moves unseen, spreading its influence with insidious purpose. Their expansion is not a conquest of land, but of minds, of faith, of souls.
They do not seek to build empires in stone and steel. They build empires in the hearts of the lost.
The Subversion of Innocence
The Disciples do not march openly as an invading force, nor do they rely on brute force to spread their dominion. Instead, they weave their faith into whispers, into secrets, into quiet conversions that leave entire villages ensnared before a single sword is raised.
The Veil of Salvation – To the weary and the broken, they offer comfort. To the oppressed, they offer liberation. To the desperate, they offer purpose. Their words are honeyed, their promises grand, and those who listen find themselves bound before they even realize they have been shackled.

The Chains of Devotion – Once one has pledged to Selena's name, there is no turning back. Doubt is stripped away. Free will is burned in the fires of unwavering faith. Even those who resist find their thoughts no longer their own, their hearts filled with an unshakable reverence for the goddess they never truly chose to follow.
They do not demand faith. They take it.
The Spreading Shadow
Though their sanctuaries remain hidden, their reach extends ever further. The Disciples have begun infiltrating key positions in towns and cities, embedding themselves in places of power and influence. Their operatives work in secrecy, planting the seeds of corruption in courts, temples, and warrior orders alike.
Corruption of Power – Kings and warlords who seek strength turn to them in secret, unaware that each deal struck binds them further to the abyss.
The Fall of Faith – Smaller sects of holy orders, splintered by doubt, are approached by the Disciples with 'new revelations' of Selena's truth, turning them against their former brethren.
The War of Shadows – Rather than waging open war, the Disciples manipulate rival factions, pitting them against one another so that, when the dust settles, only Selena's faithful remain standing.
Their influence is slow, methodical, relentless. By the time one realizes the Disciples have infiltrated their lands, it is already too late.
The Reflection of Darkness
The Disciples of Selena were not meant to exist. They were not her will. They were not her design. Yet they are here, growing, thriving, reshaping the world in her name.
They are not disciples of a goddess. They are disciples of their own ambition.
And so long as they walk this path, they will never know the truth of the one they worship.
